Mass spectroscopy coupling – how does this work? Who is interested?

Coupling OF2i®-Raman with mass spectroscopy is interesting for people who want to combine atomic resolution after first performing particle sizing and Raman analysis on a single-particle basis. ICP-MS is good at resolving heavy materials e.g. metals but is not good with plastics. OF2i®-Raman is good at determining/identifying plastics but not so good with metals. This makes the combination very interesting for scanning particles in environmental samples.
