H.A.N.S.
is the software for all BRAVE devices
The H.A.N.S. software runs with all BRAVE devices and comes with preset and definable device parameters.
H.A.N.S. is your software for particle analytics
Let us introduce you to H.A.N.S. (High-throughput Analysis Nano-characterization Software) installed on our BRAVE devices. H.A.N.S. is named after Hans, a lab technician at the Medical University of Graz who helped manually count particles during the early development phase (Thanks, Hans!). Just like the real Hans, the H.A.N.S. software is structured and straightforward. All workflows are intuitive to use. The software allows individual application and method development and comes with preset and definable device parameters.

Neat and complete analysis with H.A.N.S.
The H.A.N.S. is responsible for three main control assets:
- Instrument control
- Data analysis
- Data management, conversion and transfer
H.A.N.S. supports you with:
- Export of raw data as CSV and as a complete, user-defined protocol
- Flexible data transfer to your LIMS or SPC software
- Various interface options
- Remote support and updates via your network

Example measurement reports in H.A.N.S.
Browse the insights delivered by BRAVE B-Curious in H.A.N.S. for these different sample types.
Monodisperse
This measuring report shows a monodisperse sample.
- The D-values do not change over time
Monodisperse with agglomerates
This measuring report shows a monodisperse sample with bigger particles / agglomerates.
- The Dn50, Dn90 and Dn10 values do not change over time
- D[4,3] and D[3,2] are higher because some bigger particles or agglomerates appear (visible in the PSD volume-based graph)
Polydisperse with sedimentation
This measuring report shows a polydisperse sample which is sedimenting out.
- Polydispersity shown by SPAN: 3.23
- Sedimentation indicated by the decrease in Dn90 over time
Dynamic process occurring
This measuring report shows a dynamic measurement.
- Over the first ~18 minutes the particle count is low; Dn90, D[4,3] and D[3,2] jump up and down a lot
- At 17:15 the concentration of detected particles increases rapidly; there are no more jumps in the D-Values
Ultra-low concentrations
This measuring report shows an ultra-low concentrated sample.
- There are significant changes in the concentration
- The D-values are not constant

H.A.N.S. - the software for BRAVE B-Continuous
Back in the very early days of BRAVE Analytics, Christian Hill, now CEO and CTO, needed help counting the particles in many different samples so he enlisted the help of Hans, a lab technician at the Institute for Biophysics at the Medical University of Graz. As not everyone has a Hans to help, our nanoparticle devices now come with H.A.N.S. (High-Throughput Analysis Nano-Characterization Software). This software controls the PAT sensor and delivers measurement reports. H.A.N.S. has understandable workflows and intuitive interfaces as well as preset and definable device parameters for individual application and method development.

H.A.N.S. protects, analyzes and reports your data
- User control and measurement logs towards 21 CFR Part 11 compliance are already included
- Measuring protocol as a PDF (signed and tamper-proof for full data integrity)
- Secure data transfer with signature verification
H.A.N.S. provides more:
- Access to raw data in CSV format
- Additional features available via OTA (over the air) update
- Remote support and updates via your network
